Paper Jam project
In our Paper Jame prject we were supposed to create a curcuit that could set off two buzzers whenever a piece of paper jammed inside our makeshift printer. to do this there were three switches facing forward so if a piece of paper went through the slot it would push a maximum of one switch at a time. The premise being that if two switches were being pushed at the same time then one piece of paper had gotten jammed. Although we had to keep in mind that if the two on the ends were being pushed then that meant there was no jam.
We used the programmable logic boards for most of the circuitry in the device but for the analog inputs of the actual paper jam detector we had to wire it to 5v and wire the actual switches to designated input areas. There are two buzzers on the Jam Detector Device, one stays on until the jam has ceased while the other stays on until you press a reset button regardless of whether or not there is a jam detected. For the reset button we used a D Flip Flop to hold the signal until a button was pressed. |
